Adam Miklós

Director

Adam Miklós is a documentary filmmaker, cinematographer, and the founder of Arrabona Studio. His work focuses on human-centered narratives, exploring the intersection of personal history and social reality. He holds an MA in Film Studies from the University of St Andrews in Scotland and is currently a DLA candidate at the University of Theatre and Film Arts (SZFE) in Budapest.

His feature debut, Beyond Rock Bottom (2024), was developed through the Incubator Program of the National Film Institute Hungary. The film received a Special Prize at the 40th Warsaw International Film Festival and was officially selected for the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) and Dok.fest München. His first film, Daughters of Dolma, explored the lives of Buddhist nuns in Nepal and was distributed internationally by Netflix and Kino Lorber. He also directed the TV documentary Tcha, which premiered at the Lagów Film Festival (2021) and the Izmir International Film and Music Festival.

Miklós has edited all of his directorial works to date, maintaining creative continuity throughout the post-production process. He also works as an independent editor for other directors; most notably, he edited the feature documentary Hard Twist, which premiered at the 2025 Sun Valley Film Festival in the United States. He frequently collaborates on projects for international organizations such as WWF and the Goethe Institute. He is a member of the Hungarian Film Academy.
